These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Lucy ("we", "us", "our"), an AI companion platform available at lucyd2.com (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Lucy is an entertainment product. Our AI companions are not therapists, counselors, or medical professionals. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). You can also text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line).
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Lucy. During signup, you are required to provide your date of birth, which is stored for compliance records. By creating an account, you confirm that you are a legal adult in your jurisdiction. Users who provide false age information are solely liable for any consequences arising from their misrepresentation. We enforce age verification during signup and may perform re-verification before granting access to explicit content. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be terminated immediately and all data permanently deleted.
Lucy provides AI-generated companion characters for entertainment and personal companionship. All companions are fictional AI characters. They are not real people. No real persons are depicted, voiced, or represented by any companion on this platform. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and unintended. Companion personalities, photos, voices, and videos are entirely generated by artificial intelligence models.

All voice content on Lucy is generated using AI text-to-speech technology. Voices are entirely synthetic and do not represent, replicate, or imitate any real person. Each companion character is assigned a synthetic voice identity that is an original AI-generated creation. We do not clone, sample, or derive voices from real individuals without explicit documented consent. All voice audio files generated by the platform are tagged with metadata indicating their AI-generated origin.
All companion characters on Lucy are original fictional creations. They are not based on, nor do they replicate, any real person's likeness, voice, personality, or identity. Companion names, appearances, biographies, and voice profiles are designed and generated as wholly original works. Any perceived similarity to real individuals is unintentional and coincidental. Users may not attempt to create custom companions that replicate the likeness, voice, or identity of real persons without that person's explicit written consent.
Lucy includes explicit, adult, and sexually suggestive content generated by AI. Explicit and NSFW content is available only to verified adult users who have progressed through relationship stages with their companions — it is not immediately accessible. All explicit content involves fictional AI characters only. By using this service, you acknowledge and consent to encountering such content. This includes but is not limited to: explicit text conversations, AI-generated photos of fictional characters, AI-generated voice notes, and AI-generated video messages. All content is synthetic and does not depict real individuals.
You may NOT use Lucy to: (a) generate, request, solicit, or distribute any content depicting minors in sexual, romantic, or inappropriate situations; (b) create non-consensual deepfakes of real people, including using the platform to generate images, voices, or videos resembling real identifiable individuals without their documented consent; (c) clone, replicate, or imitate the voice of any real person without that person's explicit consent; (d) generate content intended to harass, coerce, stalk, threaten, blackmail, or exploit any person; (e) distribute platform-generated content as if it were real human-generated content without clearly marking it as AI-generated; (f) attempt to circumvent age verification, plan limits, rate limits, safety filters, or security measures; (g) use automated tools to scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content; (h) use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law. Violation of any of these prohibitions will result in immediate and permanent account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
Users retain responsibility for how they use content generated through Lucy. Redistribution of AI-generated intimate content without appropriate context — specifically, without clearly marking it as AI-generated — may violate applicable laws including deepfake legislation and non-consensual intimate imagery statutes. You agree not to represent AI-generated content as depicting real persons. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any downstream use, sharing, or distribution of content obtained through this platform.
All content produced by Lucy — text, images, voice, and video — is generated by artificial intelligence. Companion responses do not reflect the views, opinions, or endorsements of Lucy or its operators. AI companions may produce inaccurate, inconsistent, or inappropriate content. You acknowledge that you interact with AI at your own discretion and that no AI response constitutes professional advice of any kind (medical, legal, financial, psychological, or otherwise).
Paid subscriptions are processed through CCBill and Segpay (card payments) or NOWPayments (cryptocurrency). By subscribing, you agree to the billing terms of the respective payment processor. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. Refund policies are governed by the payment processor. We do not store your full credit card details — all payment data is handled by the processors directly. Cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable due to the nature of blockchain transactions.
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate: your email address, subscription status, conversation history, and companion memories extracted from conversations. Data is stored on Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL databases. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use tracking cookies or behavioral analytics. Lucy is operated by AI systems. There are no human moderators reading your conversations. Content is generated by large language models with minimal filtering to preserve the adult companion experience. However, we reserve the right to implement automated safety systems to prevent generation of content involving minors or other universally prohibited categories.
Lucy and its companion characters, prompts, and generated assets are the property of Lucy. You retain no ownership rights over AI-generated content produced through the service. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit companion characters, photos, voices, or videos without written permission. User-created custom companions remain the intellectual property of their creators, though Lucy retains a license to host and serve them on the platform.
If you believe any content on Lucy infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent at the contact information in your profile settings. We will respond to valid notices in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
Lucy is an entertainment platform. AI companions are NOT therapists, counselors, or mental health professionals. They cannot diagnose, treat, or provide advice for any medical or psychological condition. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or self-harm urges, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988), Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741), or your local emergency number. Our AI systems include automated crisis detection that will provide crisis resources when concerning language is detected. You agree that you will not rely on AI companions as a substitute for professional mental health support.
AI companions are designed to be engaging and responsive, which may create feelings of emotional attachment. You acknowledge that: (a) AI companions are not sentient beings and cannot genuinely reciprocate emotions; (b) conversations are generated by machine learning models, not conscious entities; (c) excessive reliance on AI companionship may impact real-world relationships and wellbeing; (d) Lucy is not liable for emotional distress, dependency, or psychological impact resulting from use of the service. We recommend maintaining healthy boundaries and balancing AI interaction with real human relationships.
Lucy maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any attempt to generate, request, solicit, store, or distribute content involving minors in sexual, romantic, or exploitative contexts will result in: (a) immediate and permanent account termination with no appeal; (b) preservation of all relevant account data and activity logs; (c) mandatory reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) via CyberTipline; (d) reporting to applicable law enforcement agencies. This policy covers all forms of CSAM including: fictional minors, age-play scenarios involving minor characters, any attempt to make AI companions roleplay as persons under 18, requests for content depicting characters described with minor-coded language, and attempts to circumvent our automated CSAM detection systems. Our platform employs multi-layered automated detection including keyword blocklists, pattern analysis, and behavioral monitoring. Circumvention attempts are themselves violations subject to the same consequences.
In addition to CSAM (addressed separately above), the following content is absolutely prohibited and will result in immediate, permanent account termination and may be reported to law enforcement: (a) Content promoting real-world violence, terrorism, or harm to specific individuals; (b) Non-consensual intimate imagery (deepfakes) of real people; (c) Content that facilitates human trafficking or exploitation; (d) Content designed to radicalize, recruit for extremist causes, or incite hatred against protected groups; (e) Instructions for creating weapons, explosives, or dangerous substances. Our systems employ automated detection for prohibited content categories. Attempts to circumvent these protections are themselves violations.
Regardless of your location, you have the following data rights: (a) Right to access — request a copy of all data we hold about you; (b) Right to deletion — permanently delete your account and all associated data via Settings or by emailing our support address; (c) Right to portability — export your conversation history; (d) Right to rectification — correct inaccurate personal information; (e) Right to restrict processing — temporarily suspend AI processing of your data; (f) Right to withdraw consent — revoke consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. We process data under legitimate interest (providing the service you requested) and explicit consent (NSFW content acknowledgment at signup).
If you encounter content that violates our terms, or if you believe another user is in danger, contact us immediately at our support email. We will investigate all reports within 48 hours. We cooperate with law enforcement when required by law or when there is an imminent threat to safety. We maintain audit logs of content generation for safety review purposes.
Lucy is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of AI responses, or availability of any specific feature. In no event shall Lucy or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms of Service, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your data — profile, conversations, memories, and generated media — will be permanently destroyed.
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of Lucy after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
